SEE what prostitutes did when Task Force officials visited hotels in Lagos

Some prostitutes have reportedly absconded their brothels, hotels and other hideouts in Lagos when officers of the Task Force raided recently.

The Sun reports that in spite of this, about 100 suspected criminals were nabbed alongside the commercial sex workers during the recent raid.

The state government has vowed to pounce on cult members and other criminal elements in the state and following the special task force established by the state government, the suspects have been arraigned in batches at various courtrooms in the Lagos Magistrate Court sitting in Ogba.
Their charges border on bothering on prostitution and wandering.
30 suspected sex workers arraigned before Magistrate A.S Odusanya reportedly pleaded guilty to the one-count charge slammed against them and were sentenced to hours of community service with an option of fine.
Bayo Sulaiman, who headed the task force, confirmed that the exercise would be sustained, adding:

“I don’t see the exercise ending until the area is rid off unwanted elements, who are bent on turning Bariga into another flash point of crime in the state.”

In a related development, two commercial sex workers were accused of beating up a policeman simply identified as Sergeant Usang in the Apapa area of Lagos.
The two ladies; 22-year-old Dominica Paul and Chioma Aneka committed the said offences on January 20 at New Road, Olodi-Apapa and have been arraigned for their crimes where they pleaded ‘not guilty’ to the charges.
